FAQs – Document Shredding & Destruction
Why should my office shred?
If your office is simply recycling or throwing away consumer information, you are violating several laws and could be fined for noncompliance. Shredding is the only way to ensure complete compliance with both state and federal laws.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. Shred-X is bonded and fully insured. We carry both liability insurance as well as a special errors and omissions policy designed specifically for document destruction companies.
What happens to my material after it is shredded?
After destruction, all material is baled and shipped directly to a paper mill for recycling.
Will I receive anything for my records after destruction?
Yes. Shred-X provides an official certificate of destruction following each job.
Do I need to remove staples, paper clips, or fasteners prior to destruction?
No. Our industrial shredders can easily destroy these items along with your documents.
